UTSF is aware of the contract dispute between Michigan Medicine and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the possibility that some Michigan Medicine facilities could leave the BCBSM provider network.
The union shares members’ concerns about the outcome and the potential effect on access to care. MSU is not a party to these negotiations and does not have a direct avenue to intervene; the dispute is between Michigan Medicine and BCBSM.
